Ceol Cara's Friends & Favourite Links
The Brigadoons
Jamie was one of the founding members of the Brigadoons and his sister
Luane Doyle is still a member. We had the pleasure of sharing the stage
with them at the Fort Erie Celtic Festival.
Vox Violins - Mark Clifford & Beth
Bartley Mark and Beth have been playing around Niagara Region for
many years and we have always enjoyed listening and playing with them
any chance we get. Mark has always been a great guitar play in any
style. He particularly shines when he and Beth stretch out together
creating the unique sounds of Vox Violins. Switching between acoustic
guitar and resophonic guitar, he and Beth are well worth the listen!
Glengarry Bhoys
A truly great band! Check them out if you haven't heard them before.
They were featured at the Fort Erie Celtic Festival and had the crowd
dancing and cheering. One of the best Celtic Canadian bands out there.
MacPherson's Rant We have
had many opportunities through the last few years to play with Gene and
Sharryn Oleskiw and the gang in MacPherson's Rant. Often joining us at
the Celtic Pub for jams, as well as sharing the stage at festivals
throughout Niagara, they are also a staple in the Celtic scene around
here!
The Pirate Festival
This was the first year of the Pirate Festival and we definitely were
amazed. Not only did the band have a great time performing at the
festival, we also made some very good friends there as well.
Men In Tights Ah, what can I
say.. Just great fun. You'll have a good laugh while Rick and the guys
get everyone in the audience up helping them create a performance that
is unique every time. Mind you Shakespeare might roll over a few times -
in laughter..
Two Roads Home We had the
pleasure of meeting Bryan Williston & Abby Zotz at the Pirate Festival
and played a number of times together on the stage. Hailing form the
Oshawa/Whitby area, we shared a lot of comradery and sang up a storm
together.
The Niagara Guide &
Niagara Night Life
An On-Line guide to business in the Niagara Region. The guide has a
section for entertainment.
The Irish Harp
Pub We have been a regular performing act at the Irish Harp Pub
in NOTL since it first opened in the fall of 2006. It is an authentic
Irish pub with great food, great beer and great craic.
